Print/Export List: V1.2003

Version Relevance: V1.2003 onwards

Issue: This new feature has been added in the V1.2003 maintenance release as a 'technology sampler'. How does it work?

Feedback: Headed lists (the lists with the button header - not spreadsheet-like grids) now can have a context menu to print a generic report of the list's visible contents or export the raw underlying list data. Implemented on ScratchPads as a window menu. Other than Scratchpads, it has only been implemented on the ledger transaction list subwindow and the list of options for settings. Full across-the-board implementation for all headed lists is from V1.30 onwards ?.

Issue: This is particularly useful for the customer or supply review window when you only want to print a selected number of transaction entries.

Feedback: It is worth pointing out that calculated fields in ScratchPads are included, and that any numeric fields are totalled.

Issue: A superb feature. I have been trying to find a seamless way of doing this for ages! When recommending Caliach Vision to others I always mention the regularity of new features.

Feedback: Don't forget this feature now applies to virtually all headed lists of this kind, and if you choose "Export List Data" you can extract the raw data from the list. You can also copy individual cell data by selecting "Set List to Copy Cell Data", and using click-hover to select and copy data. The new "Refresh List" menu item avoids having to refresh the window or rebuild the list, to reflect recent data changes. For full help click here ?.
