Job Operation Working

In this window you can confirm the progress being made on Job Operations. Select the Job and then the operation you wish to record activity on. Enter the details of completed work and confirm with an OK.

Note NOTE: You will not be permitted to record completion of outwork operations as these must be processed in a Purchase Order and when received are automatically posted as Worked Operations.

Description

Job number

Jobs. Job code number = jst(MCDJOBS,'-6N0P0'). {JOBFILE.JOBCODE char 6}

Customer code

Customers. Unique customer identification code. {CUSFILE.CUSCODE char 6}

Customer name

Customers. Customer company name. {CUSFILE.CUSCNAM char national 40}

Operation List

List of all operational lines not so far completed on the job. Select a line before entering data against it.

The following applies to the selected operation in the list:

Work Centre

Job Items. Work Centre code (optional relation to WKCCODE). {JBIFILE.JBIWKC char 4}

Work Centre Description

Work Centres. Description of work centre. {WKCFILE.WKCDESC char 30}

Operation instructions

Planned quantity

Job Items. Quantity of item for issue to the job. {JBIFILE.JBIQTY number 3dp}

Planned setup hours

Job Items. Planned operation setup time for item quantity in hours. {JBIFILE.JBISETT number 2dpShortnum}

Planned run hours

Job Items. Planned operation runtime for each item unit in hours. {JBIFILE.JBIRUNT number 4dp}

Planned cost

Job Items. Unit planned cost in job currency. {JBIFILE.JBICOST number 3dp}

Already recorded quantity

Quantity completed previously recorded for the selected line.

Already recorded setup hours

Hours of setup time already recorded for the selected line.

Already recorded runtime hours

Hours of run time already recorded for the selected line.

Already recorded cost

The local cost already recorded for the selected line.

Quantity to record now

The quantity you wish to record and issued now. Once all the planned quantity has been issued the line item will be closed.

Setup hours to record now

Hours of setup time you wish to record now. You can use HMSP syntax here (see below).

Run hours to record now

Hours of run time you wish to record now. You can use HMSP syntax here (see below).

Cost of your entry

The local cost of your entry.

Employee code

Select Job

To select a Job from which you wish to make issues or return. The Select Job window will open.

View Job Details

To view the Job Header details that may contain comments relevant to the issue. The Job or Estimate Details window will open.

Cancel

Aborts the process currently in session. The keyboard equivalent is the Esc key for Windows computers and Command-.(full stop or period) for the Mac.

OK

The OK button updates the data you have entered, or confirms the selection and/or processes the function you have called.

Entering Time Values using HMSP Syntax

The system stores and uses times in decimal hours. 1.5000 hours rather than 1hr 30min. However, you can enter time in a number of different ways that will automatically convert to the equivalent decimal hours when you leave the field.
