Dawn over English HarbourOn one of my trips I planned the dates to cover the full moon period. For two days I went above English Harbour at dawn but it was always overcast. On the third day I was lucky and this is the picture. Technical NoteThis was a very difficult shot as the moon is in bright sunlight (say 1/250th at f8) but the landscape is quite dark (say 1/30th at f2.8). I had several neutral density filters (about 5+ stops worth) to mask off the moon in the top left and a warm-up filter to get rid of the coldness of the light. Lots of bracketing but it was all done in camera. Back to the picture. |
